Merry Christmas!

Mason (3)

Loves underwear and his big boy bed.
Wants to know the spelling of every word.
Enjoys being the center of attention.

Glad Daddy gets to come home for lunch most days.
Ready for preschool in the fall.

Shawn (5)

Loves all-day Kindergarten and learning to read.
Wants to be outside playing as much as possible.
Enjoys displaying all of his wonderful artwork.
Can’t get enough snuggle time with his mom.
Glad he gets to play with friends at recess every day.
Ready to play his first season of T-ball this Spring.

Jacob (9)

Loves baseball…and basketball…and football.
Wants to be the best at everything he does.
Enjoys sports, drawing cartoons, playing piano and cub scouts.
Can’t stand doing nothing.
Glad he got to see the Dodgers play baseball here in Texas this year.
Ready to be done with having braces… even though he’s only had them on for four months.

Ryan (11)

Loves building incredible Lego creations.
Wants to be an engineer.
Enjoys reading, playing piano, choir, and attending boy scouts each week.
Can’t believe he’s finally taller than Ashley.
Glad he’s in middle school.
Ready for the next James Dashner novel and Harry Potter movie in 2010.

Ashley (13)

Loves not having braces.
Wants to hang out with friends as much as possible.
Enjoys dancing, singing, piano playing and babysitting.
Can’t wait to go to EFY at BYU this summer.
Glad she finally has a cell phone.
Ready to start high school in the fall.

Amanda (15)

Loves singing and being a part of the high school Varsity Choir.
Wants to meet David Archuleta.
Enjoys her cooking class at school, reading (a lot), music, writing, drawing, and being creative.
Can’t wait to start dating and driving.
Glad to be making straight A’s right now.
Ready to start dating and driving

Julie

Loved a family summer vacation to Washington D.C. and a weekend in NYC with Erik in the fall.
Wants to keep up with early morning runs with Erik.
Enjoys trying out new recipes, attending monthly book club, blogging, serving in the nursery at church and going on weekly dates with Erik.
Can’t believe it’s been 20 years since she met Erik at BYU.
Glad she gets to have the best job in the world.
Ready to have Amanda start sharing the car-pooling duties.

Erik

Loves spending time with the family.
Wants to run in a couple more 5K races with Julie in 2010.
Enjoys his job at Parkway Construction, church service and being a dad.
Can’t believe he’s old enough to have a daughter ready to start dating and driving.
Glad he got to see BYU beat OU in the new Cowboys Stadium.
Ready for the next Presidential election.

We are so grateful for our many blessings and for our faith in Jesus Christ
whose birth we celebrate this wonderful Christmas season.

We love you all and so appreciate the example your family is to us...having read the Luke story this Christmas, you are as Zacharias and Elizabeth in Luke 1: "And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless."
